Director of Lean Enterprise Electric Power Manufacturing Industry Greater Chicago, ILThis role, Director of Lean Enterprise will report to the VP of Operations and will be responsible for driving an integrated approach to Lean deployment developing and continuously refining the Lean Enterprise implementation plan in a systemic fashion. The Director will participate in the company’s strategic and annual planning processes as well as coordinate the implementation of Lean throughout the facility. Through leading and managing a variety of Kaizens and other improvement activities, the Director will be removing non-value added activities in both manufacturing and administrative environments therefore reducing costs, improving delivery and building customer satisfaction. The advancement of the company toward the goal of being a world class operation that effectively supports the company vision of satisfying the customer will be at the forefront of the Director’s priorities.
Key Goals/Objectives:
1) Develop a Lean Strategic Plan
2) Develop an Annual Implementation Plan based on the approved Strategic Plan
3) Develop and Deploy Lean Training
4) Key Metrics for Lean Deployment
Requirements:
A 4-year degree in Engineering (strongly preferred) or a related field.
Extensive formal training in Lean theory and implementation and the Toyota Production System.
5+years of recent implementation of TPS (or equivalent) with prior Operations or Plant Management experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated experience using Lean tools and techniques including but not limited to VSM, Voice of the Customer, Kaizen leadership, one-piece flow, and 5S.
